About Us Raised in Miami Florida and Blowing Rock North Carolina Sarah graduated from the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts and moved directly to New York City where she lived for thirteen years. The Design Studio was opened soon after she relocated to Los Angeles in 1997. Her projects are wide ranging; from a four story town house in Manhattan, to a Julius Shulman photographed Mid Century Modern Post and Beam remodel featured in the 2010 July/August issue of Elle Décor. She restored a Mediterranean villa over looking the Pacific Ocean in Pacific Palisades, a 6000 square foot Wallace Neff manse in Pasadena, and remodeled a Trousdale Estates classic which houses a world class art collection featured in the Angeleno Magazine March 2008 and Art & Auction issue July 2009. In addition to her SWDS projects, she collaborated with Los Angeles architects Pugh + Scarpa, to oversee the furnishings, finishes and color palettes a number of their industrial influenced commercial office projects. Projects include office design for two power house management companies: The Firm and for Hand Print Entertainment whose representation included Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jackson, Hillary Swank and Nicole Kidman and others. One project won the 22nd annual Interiors Magazine Award for Best Small Office 2000. Another was featured in the June 2004 issue of Interior Design Magazine. Many of the furnishings in her projects are custom designed pieces and this has led to a side business of designing custom cabinets and furniture unrelated to her interior design work. The SWDS office of four focuses on creating a cohesive whole that will reflect the client's personality and preferences, forgoing the usual designers penchant to trademark their projects, no matter how inappropriate their whim is for the client or the space. Sarah is a California Certified Interior Designer #6362.In 2010 Sarah opened Danluck Walker Design and Build Inc., a fully licensed general contracting and design firm to better serve her clientele and the design community.Sarah is married to her best friend, Robert Gunderman, an owner of ACME, a contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles.
